Use allergen flags as an untrusted guide
tbltap may use ingredient and allergen tracking to help identify potential allergens in menu items, but this is an imperfect system and should never be treated as a guarantee.
- A flagged allergen may not actually be present in the item.
- An allergen that is not listed or flagged may still be present in the item, modifier, preparation area, ingredient, garnish, oil, sauce, shared equipment, or packaging.
- Allergen flags, dietary labels, item descriptions, and ingredient notes must be confirmed directly with restaurant staff before ordering.
Restaurant responsibility
Restaurants are responsible for keeping menu, ingredient, allergen, modifier, preparation, and availability information accurate for guests.
- Review AI-assisted menu setup before publishing any item details.
- Update allergen and ingredient details when recipes, suppliers, preparation methods, or shared equipment change.
- Train staff to verify allergy questions in the restaurant before a guest orders or consumes an item.
Guest safety
Guests with allergies, sensitivities, medical restrictions, or dietary requirements should not rely only on tbltap menu data.
- Speak with restaurant staff before ordering or consuming anything.
- Do not place an order through tbltap if the restaurant cannot confirm the ingredient, allergen, or preparation information you need.
- If there is a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
Liability notice
To the fullest extent permitted by law, tbltap is not responsible for allergic reactions, medical complications, emergencies, or other harm caused by relying on unverified menu, ingredient, allergen, dietary, or preparation information shown through the platform.
- tbltap cannot guarantee that allergens flagged by the platform are present.
- tbltap cannot guarantee that allergens not listed, not flagged, or marked absent are not present.
- Guests and restaurants are responsible for verifying allergen safety directly in the restaurant before ordering, preparing, serving, or consuming an item.
